Congratulations to the cross country team. Both the boy’s and girl’s teams took first place in the championship over break. It was a close meet but the hard work and determination of our runners paid off. Great job Cougars!

Cross Country kids remember we have our banquet tonight from 5-7
in the MPR please bring pasta, salad, or something healthy and
your uniforms

A and B team football players, make sure to come to Golf ‘N Stuff
tomorrow at 10:30 for our banquet. There will be games, activities,
and pizza! See you there!

Did you know:  Some people don’t have a bed to sleep in, regular
meals and a roof over their heads? Well, now you can help!
Please join us at Skate Country on Sept. 25th from 6pm to 8pm to help
end homelessness. That’s right!  Next Wednesday, the 25th, from
6 to 8pm!!! See you there!

Just a reminder to all A team girls volleyball and flag football players.
Please get your uniforms to Mr. Rodriguez today to avoid being
charged for them.

Congratulations to the Desert Sky girls Volleyball A team!  They finished
their season with an impressive Seven wins one loss and 2nd place
overall finish.  They played a tough championship match Against old
Vail.

Here’s your Wellness Wednesday tip of the week: Over half your body
is made of water. Keep a water bottle with you to help you drink enough
water every day

Congratulations to the Desert Sky volleyball A Team!  They easily beat
Rincon Vista in two sets during the Desert Valley playoffs. Please come
out today and support the ladies as they face off against old Vail for the
championship match of the season!

Builders Club members, we will have our meeting today after school in
Ms. Sundquist’s room, room 304 at 3.  If you have a passion for your
fellow students, your teachers, your neighbors and community, then
Builders Club is the place for you. Come join us

Congratulations to the Desert Sky Volleyball A and B Teams for their
victory over Corona Foothills. Both teams showed an impressive victory
winning in two sets

Desert Sky students! Do you like Stranger Things? Are you brave enough
to face a demigorgon? Then come join the new D&D club with Mr. Olvera
in room 502 on Wednesdays from 3 to 4pm starting on August 21! No
experience is necessary and snacks will be provided.

NJHS members interested in running for office, applications are due by 12:00
pm Wednesday, 8/14. No late applications will be accepted. See Mrs.
Vera with questions.

Attention students! American Sign Language Club will begin on Thursday
August 15 in Mrs. Jackson’s room, 503, right after school. No
experience needed and all are welcome! Come learn basic communication
in ASL! See you there!

Friday is the last day to join drama club. If you are still interested
see Mrs. Murray or Ms. Gremel as soon as possible to find out what
you’ve already missed

Attention Disney goers! We need your roommate requests by this Friday.
Remember, 4 to a room. Please submit yours to Mrs. Murray in room 515 by Friday.

All NJHS members, we will meet this Friday, 8/16, after school in Mrs. Vera’s
room to sign up for committees and vote for officers. See Mrs. Vera if you
have any questions

Cougars, Yearbook Club is looking for you!  If you are interested in taking
pictures and putting together creative displays of those pictures then
yearbook club might be for you!  Come pick up an application from Mrs.
Willard in room 501 our first meeting will be August 19th.  See you then!

Ladies, would you like to soar away on a magic carpet ride? Or enjoy a
whole new world of food and fun? If so, be sure to purchase tickets for this
year’s Father/Daughter Dance! Tickets can be purchased from the front
office for $20 for dad and daughter and $5 for each additional daughter.
